Wind Chill Protocol and Chart

Dear Students and Parents:

Today, December 15th, Madison Local School District made the decision to operate on a 2-hour delay due to the cold temperatures and wind chill. We did this as a safety precaution realizing that this was the first extremely cold day of the season and that many students may not have been prepared with the appropriate outerwear of warm coats, gloves, scarves, etc. Moving forward, MLSD will follow a specific protocol when considering a delay or closure based strictly on temperatures and wind chill factors. Please click the headline to view this protocol.

Stuff the Bus

Stuff the bus sign on bus

Our amazing Madison Transportation Department will be collecting non-perishable food items, toys, and coats/hats/gloves for families in need in Madison Township this holiday season. Consider making a donation!
The bus will be parked at the bottom of 122 hill each week day from 9:00am-11:00am and 4:30pm-dark.

Madison Elementary Preschool Earns 5-Star Rating

The State of Ohio has awarded the Madison Elementary School preschool program a 5-Star Rating for meeting the quality standard established by the Ohio
Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Education. Step Up To Quality is a Five-Star Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System created to recognize and promote early learning and development programs
that meet quality standards over and above the health and safety licensing requirements.
This is a huge accomplishment and we wish to personally congratulate Brittany Flory and Teresa Dean for facilitating such an amazing program.
